Elaine Kingett is an award-winning writer, journalist, teacher and writing mentor. She started her career on Honey magazine in the 70s, after a BA Hons Fashion at Hornsey College of Art and now writes for That’s Not My AgeThe GuardianThe TimesWoman&HomePrima and Archivist. She has an MA in Professional Writing from UCF, has studied Autobiographical Creative Writing at University of Sussex, Therapeutic, Reflective Writing and Poetry Therapy with The Professional Writing Academy and counselling skills at City Lit. She has studied mindfulness meditation in Nepal and London.

She is a member of Lapidus International - Words For Wellbeing , The National Association of Writers In Education, Women in Journalism, an affiliate of Write As Rain and is a Hoffman graduate. She has three adult children and lives in north London.
