In 2012 - inspired by the discovery of her parents’ war diaries - writer and journalist [and ex-fashion business person] Elaine Kingett established Write It Down! These are writing, mindfulness meditation and walking holidays in Spain and creative writing workshops for Mums, Babies and Pregnant Women in London.

Write It Down! holidays are unpretentious, down-to-earth, energising and inclusive, with small groups, great food and drink plus top class accommodation. In a supportive and relaxed environment, individual creativity blossoms. The weeks provide a lasting boost in self-esteem and self-confidence, a notebook full of ideas for poems, stories and memoir and demonstrate the power of the pen on paper to enrich and empower our lives, discover our professional and personal strengths and provide a road-map for the future. The holidays and workshops are carefully planned and curated to inspire everyone, irrespective of previous writing experience or academic ability, to write down their lives for the scientifically recognised mental and physical health benefits and to rediscover their creative imagination.
